Re: What did you do to your truck today?

The Holley 500 is an easy swap. If I can do it anyone can. You will need to get an adapter to bolt it in. I'll try to post some pics a little later.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Pulled the beds off the trailer flipped them over on a pallet and collected the money for one of them. Put them away and sprayed the bolts with rust penetrating stuff so I can pull the planks off later this week.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

rearranged some of the pins on my engine harness and hooked the battery up to see if I could get her to turn. She turns over nicely. I need to get some new head lights and bulbs so I can check to make sure everything works.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Layed upder it for a while. Tried to figure out other ways to shorten the frame. Think I got carried away because the new plans are chopping it off behind the cab and fabbing up a new backhalf with C notches and bags.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Almost started my Sons 64 on fire today. Was starting it and it back fired and flames were shooting out the carb. Need to fine tune the Timing. Looks like that will be tomorrows job.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Mounted the transmission cooler and cooler lines. Then tried to make the kick-down cable reach and wished I could get it connected to the existing carb on the Inline six... Anybody have a turbo 350 behind a six cylinder and stock one barrel carb???
PLEASE send me a PM with how you hooked up the detent kick-down cable!!

I have the same set up and can't get mine to reach. I'm still working on a solution.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I put a new starter in today. I'm alittle scared though. I might have torqued the bolts just a little too much. So far it's workin great.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

I took an extra day to clean it up and paint it. I installed it yesterday. Today will finish hooking it all up, detail wiring and such.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Went down to the DMV...and finally registered my truck....

The frickin 'Governator' took $226 of my hard earned money for that thing !!

And the tag is only good untill FEB !!

Man the lady at the counter real had a hard time...this truck came with the DMV paper all printed up from the guy.

However the OG owner donated to charity, then this guy bought it (owns a lot), then I got it.

So the pink was signed 3 times, we had 3 transfer forms....it had her going crazy !!

Now, I just got it get it running !!

So far...that little truck in my avatar has cost me $600 + $226 = $826
