Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
Got some time to work on the truck this weekend again, and feel good about the progress made. I was able to get the engine torn down, cleaned up, and new cam installed. I am new to the LS engines, and was good to learn about them by taking them apart. As expected, these engine are quit different than the traditional SBC.
From there, we also got the brake lines ran along the frame, along with the fuel lines. I decided to run SS lines to the master cylinder form the frame. To do this, we did bulkhead fittings in the top of the frame, and will run up to the master from there. I plan on using the new Baer Remaster master cylinder. |

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
Thank you!
It is a f-body oil pan. Almost! I wish it was done for this last Git-Down, but for sure in 2015. |

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
Been real busy with work lately, and haven't had time told to much on the truck. I did however come across a 1-piece kit for the side windows, and ordered it up today. Should look clean without the vent windows in there.

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
That is a Summit Racing column that my Dad had lying around the shop, and never got used. It could be a little "firmer" felling in the tilt and and mechanics, but overall is nice. I would like to eventually change it out for a Ididit, but works great for now.

Here is some progress from this last weekend. Got the rest of the accessory drive in and the Vintage Air AC bracket and compressor installed. I also managed to get the door aligned as best as possible and installed the PB front core support cross member. Just a lot of little things that needed to be addressed. I got the CaptainFab brake booster bracket installed, and fits awesome! I originally got a 88-98 booster, but was too large (11") and hot the coil pack on the valve cover. I needed up finding a 85-89 Astro Van booster that is about 9" and clears. I am running into this problem due to the drop member raises the engine 2". Normally the 88-98 would have worked. |

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
Did you have to buy the Kwik AC bracket separate or does it come with the vintage air kit?
