Looking man. How is the quality of the workmanship with Wait4Me? Would you use them again?

Maybe my standards are too high, but I think it sucks and would never use them again. I opened the harness and found that they didnt remove the wires to make it stand alone but just cut them and taped them in the harness. Therefore, the harness was just as thick when I got it back as it was when I sent it. They also used hot glue to hold the bundles of wire together. Not sure why they did that? but it is stiff as a board now. I got it all mounted but am not totally happy with the look of everything so I may still just take it off and chuck it in the dumpster. We'll see.

If you are going to toss it, send it to me! Mine was exactly as I expected... a $285 rework of a factory harness to make it a stand-alone operation. Just remember, Jesse's rework is just like any other at a base price.... to remove the unneeded connectors, tie all the power and grounds together, but not to thin it out or make it a custom fit jobber.

But seriously, if you are going to get rid of it..... I will have another swap coming up.

*** Oops, forgot to add.... there is no hot glue in mine. That's kinda weird.

It's currently on the engine I'm just lenghtening wires for the ECT sensor so I can make it fit like I want it to. If I had known going in it wasn't going to be thinner( he said it would) I would be OK with the whole thing. Either way, they did a good job for a good price so as long as it runs I'm OK. Maybe just a misunderstanding on my behalf? Who knows, but I was able to move things around enough and hide stuff enough to make me

Hey Josh I just noticed you live in Wake Forest. My son lives and works in Winston-Salem and goes to Wake Forest at night to get his MBA. But anyway I was going to use W4M to do my harness and re-flash the ecm, not really looking to clean up the engine bay just want it to look like it came with this engine. Looking good though.

HArd to say at this point. I work on cars for a living and it's been so busy lately I have a hard time finding time to get back to it. Hopefully before summer so I can cruise the wheels off this thing.

OK fellas, getting close now! I managed to find some time tonight after the little one went down and Nicole was doing report cards for her class so I fell into the garage to have some fun. I managed to get the core support, grill, lights, radiator, fan, fan shroud, battery and tray and inner fenders all re-mounted. Also ran the battery cables and a couple other things so I was at least able to hear her turn over whith a twist of the switch. Just need to wrap my harness once my wire wrap shows up and wire in a couple things and she'll be ready to go. Holy cow I cant wait now. Will still need to get the driveshaft fixed but I'll just be glad to hear it run. Heck yeah!!!

Thanks guys. I was hoping for some progress tonight too but I ran into a couple issues. My manifolds just arent going to work at all so it looks like I just hit an expensive hurdle. Anybody have some S&P headers for a LS that they accidentally ordered and need to sell cheap?

Was also going to try to get my power steering lines hooked up but couldnt find my 1" wrench anywhere. Well, maybe tomorrow.

Passenger side hits the frame a little (could trim the frame slightly and be fine) and the drivers side points right at the lower section of the inside of the frame. I heard the 5.3 ones work but I dont know if the 6.0 manifolds point out away from the trans a little more to clear the 4l80e trans? Either way, I have spent way too much time and effort making this look nice to use my manifolds. If they looked like new and fit better I would absolutely use them but since they arent in very good shape anyway, I will just try to save up and get some headers. Glock35ipsc used the 5.3 manifolds on his and they look awesome. But, if we are using his swap as a guide my whole job so far looks sub-par. His turned out sick!!!

I to am studying his build. My plan was to send my manifolds out for jet coat because they worked for him. However, I did not figure the difference in fit between the 5.3 and our 6.0s

I read on one of the other forums (can't remember which one) that Chevy Performance makes an LSX header flange that fits BBC headers. The idea being you take a set of BBC C-10 headers (like maybe the $89.95 Summit cheapies), cut the flange off and have the LSX flange welded on.

The flanges are cheap enough, but does the LSx have the same exhaust port spacing as a big block?

Mine may be different because my engine is from a van as well. I am not sure . The 5.3 manifolds will fit the 6.0 engine.

Josh, i think your are different because they came from a van. i have the stock manifolds and they fit fine. the driverside fits like a glove and the pass. side needs a little triming on the frame rail. i'd make a few calls to yards and see how much a set of stock manifolds WITHOUT the EGR tube is. i'd give you my set man but i really think shipping would be ridiculous. my s&p's should be here today so we'll see how those fit.
