Re: My 70 2wd Project begins!
I am going to have to sell it. I am just trying to get the paint on it so that it will bring a little more. My plan is to paint - assemble - get it running and hit a few shows and see what happens!!

Re: My 70 2wd Project begins!
I have made a little progress on the Blazer so thought I would post some pics. As you will see I found a great set of Truck doors and made a great set of Blazer doors! Inner fenders are finally taking shape too.

They look great. I'm glad you were able to find some doors close to you. Have you checked the local salvage yard for a rearend?

I would love to know what you had to do to make those hinges work?

Re: My 70 2wd Project begins!
Lots - but now that the i have it figured out - reproducing them should be easier. I dropped it off this morning at a new paint shop. He is going to check the hood clearances one more time then I will recut the brackets. If the new ones are "bolt on" ready, I can have some made for anyone interested.

Re: My 70 2wd Project begins!
Hey I have a 68 narrow rear axle wanna trade for your 71-72 long one? I can ship on my dime, you ship on yours? Mine is a 3.73 posi with 6-lug axles, as long as your's has a good ratio and posi I'd do a straight across swap (less brakes, obviously!) PM me and LMK?

Re: My 70 2wd Project begins!
Sorry for the delay in Hinge details - I have had a lot of people ask about them. We pulled the front clip to finish the tub so I have not been able to get the final adjustments made. I am going back on Tuesday and plan to take video of hinges working and measurements. I should be able to get new brackets cut this week and will be able to pass that info on then. Thanks for your patience and maybe I can save you the headache ...

Re: My 70 2wd Project begins!
Well we are in our 4th and final shop. This guy knows he stuff. He has been running a collision shop for 20+ years and will occasional do a nice build on the side. Well I convinced him to finish the Blazer. He took it all the way back to mostly metal to make sure we had a good base and then worked out any issues. This is after the first coat of Primer. Gaps look great and he is making good time on it. Finally we are getting somewhere!
