Re: Looking for my Grandfathers 1971 GMC SIERRA
As for the guests they are probably mostly site members that aren't signed in. I don't sign in automatically so I'm a guest until I want to post on something.
x2 on the facebook thing. I'm 20 and get weird looks when I tell people I don't have one. Many reasons I won't go into here. Most people think it's miraculous that I know other people that don't have facebook....like I never talk to people or meet anyone lol. I have my grandpa's truck (67) so I sorta know how you feel. Difference is it really didn't mean much to me until it became mine. I had thought my Dad had sold it many years before. Turns out it was to my uncle. Called him up and he said somebody offered him $50 for it a couple years before. He decided it could stay where it was for that. I'm glad for that. My grandpa didn't buy it new so there was a PO from before. The PO's son is now the county car guy. Has been buying up most of the old vehicles around here. I learned he used to drive his brother's and sisters to school in that truck. I can tell he wants it but he also knows that it means something to me as well. I'm glad he's respected that. He doesn't get much done anyway so it would prolly just get parked with the rest of his cars lol. Moral of the story he knows where it is and it's not like I'm letting it rust away so he's more or less happy with that and doesn't pester me every time I see him. I didn't look at any pics of the 59 apache but 2000-2500 for any old vehicle seems real steep to me. I may just be cheap but even sentimental value I think I would look for a better deal. Love the looks of those trucks as well. Sorry for the book lol

Re: Looking for my Grandfathers 1971 GMC SIERRA
You asked, the GMC in the first pic is nice. It would make a nice driver. The second pic is very nice, but then again so are all the Drops R Us trucks, but I wonder why you posted it. Since just a few posts you were complaining about modified trucks? The VW is reliable, other than that I have no opinion on it, too new for me.

Oh, ok. I think the '58-'59 apaches are the apex of automotive design. Just my opinion.

Oh alright...I like the Chrome style instead of the Colored Bumpers such as on the other ones
I think the Colored ones are pretty ugly honestly..I am just a Chrome type of guy Lol I like them and the 71 GMCs the best honestly

Re: Looking for my Grandfathers 1971 GMC SIERRA
People here are family oriented, so the grandfather aspect is something that makes it interesting. We all hope you are successful in your quest. For instance, my grandfather had already been dead 6 years in 1971 so for me to be able to find a truck he owned would be amazing, Im sure a lot of others are rooting for you as I am.
