Re: My Blue 1957 build
It's good advice the others gave. My doors needed fixing in the same place.
Kind of a pain but worth the effort. Kim |

Re: My Blue 1957 build
Well i cut out the strip on the bottom of the dooe that was full of holes. I got it welded in and ground down with 4" grinder, but now need to clean it up with the die grinder. My little 15 gallon 1.8 hp compressor just isnt doing me any good so i am getting a 60 gallon tomorrow.

Re: My Blue 1957 build
Not much to update, but figured I would stay relevant. I got the doors both patched up on the bottom. Filled in the holes from mirror sets over the years. Had doors, fenders and hoods media blasted to pick out the better parts. Waiting for patch panel to get here for passenger fender so I cut get that done and sprayed with primer. Doors are back on the cab. Working on getting it back together.

Re: My Blue 1957 build
that looks good. have you thought about flush mounting your filler?
seems it would get scratched/beat up by everything you slide in your bed

Re: My Blue 1957 build
Finally mounted my billet overflow tank. Still need to get the hard line i am going to run under the radiator to it. Also mounted the rear bumper brackets and the bumper. Had to empty the beer out of the ice chest so i could use it as a seat to take it for a spin around the block.
Thats my checklist taped to the cab by the way |

Re: My Blue 1957 build
Goal is to complete my list and get it together and half way presentable to possibly take to the Brothers show June 30th. Then back to shop for some finalizing before getting ready for paint and powder coat. Thats the plan at least. Also just realized I have been at it for just over a year now on it.
