Looks great to me!!!! Thats funny about the insulation in the doors; that stuff is like a sponge.

Are you going to run mirrors? When I got my truck it didnt have any and I just couldnt take it...ended up with some peeps.

Lisa has some new, original style chrome mirrors for it...left and right. I tried to get one on last night, but I couldn't get one of the screws out. Probably because of that dam insulation, it's rusted on there...

For sure! We still need to work out a few bugs. There's a small water leak I noticed last night when we got home. Also, I believe the tranny coolers may need to be snugged up. It was dark last night so I don't know for sure... I'll find out for sure this evening when I get home...

Joe the 65 is SUPER SWEET!! you guys have done a great job. I love how it turned out.. I getting ready to start in on the 66 I bought of you. its going to be lowed maybe 4 to 6 inches. put in 283 with 3 speed on the column, it will probaply take a little while money premitting.

That '65 has taken a few steps back. The 350 took a crap. Got water in the oil...not sure if from an intake or head gasket or a crack in the block or head. Anyhow, water got in the oil, it started knocking real bad. Probably spun a bearing. Long story short, I have to get it somewhere to get the 283 back in it...

It's been heartbreaking to say the least...

Well, we've made a plan. In a couple of Sundays (Fred works for the USPS now, his only guaranteed day off) we are going to yank out the 350 and drop the 283 back in. The plan is to tow it to the shop and drive it home... I'll let you all know how that goes...

I had a bad motor in my pick-up, but I spent a lot of time getting it set up correctly. When I changed it out it only took a little while because everything was ready to go. That sucks as its an expensive loss, but at least you have a backup. You'll have the 350 out in 2 hours.
