Glad you like the exhaust 87chevy Its not done yet and probably can do it cheaper if u go without the cats, cutouts & mandrel bends pipes. Man 6.2 for $700 thats a steal man i would buy that and store it even if i had one in my truck. Yeah about the fans fuse that's what i thought. The esclade uses something in same size as maxi fuse too. I don't understand why the ppl i sent the harness to didn't do that About the tach i haven't really looked in it at all. I investigate in it when we take it to the tuner shop to figure out the tune. Last edited by v502; 04-30-2010 at 03:56 AM. |

Re: 79 C10 swap with L92 with 6L90
went though a couple of diagrams for the 6.2L and couldnt find the white tach output wire that the 5.3 and 6.0's have... looking at the cluster pigtail connector, it might be a stupid bus signal. not 100% sure on that one. I wish I knew how to create a bus signal so the computer knows what im "saying"... ive wanted the tow/haul feature for the longest time...

Picked the truck on Friday Guy got over 400 rwhp on the dyno and damn the truck is scary anyhow i love the power and 6 speed is awesome.
Took the truck to the empty parking lot 10 mile away from the city and had little fun and to make sure everything is fine Enjoy Last edited by v502; 06-01-2010 at 12:33 PM. |

Re: 79 C10 swap with L92 with 6L90
Thanks nlped but sad to say it leaked oil out of of exhaust and fuel from somewhere around the gas tank after that day I Just sent it to the shop 1 hr ago I think its a valve seal cause the truck works flawlessly and its not dripping oil now weird but still need to check out the fuel leak. |

Re: 79 C10 swap with L92 with 6L90
Damn, if someone beat me like that I'd probably leak some oil or something out my exhaust too! Sounds wicked.

Re: 79 C10 swap with L92 with 6L90
Now it really needs those new tires.
Great job getting it all together. I hope it turns out to be something simple for the oil & fuel leaks.
