Re: 1985 chevy c10 swb
Looks real good man! About how much was it to build the custom box with speakers and amp? Just curious! Are you going to coat it in fiberglass or carpet?

Re: 1985 chevy c10 swb
thx guys. i finnished the build saturday and was not able to upload some pictures.
i got the supplies for around 70 bucks thats with the speaker push in terminals carpet and the 3/4 inch MDF board. i dont have pictures of me wrapping the box.. it was a pain to wrap btw. this is my first speaker box ive ever built and first thing ive covered with carpet. And the other project in the garage area is my dads 64 1/2 mustang coupe. we havent worked on it for about 5 years. we stoped working ojn it because we moved into this house. we restored my 85 chevy after we got settled in the house and now since were done we trying to get back on it soon.. i hope. the car is in need for floor pans and a rear quarter panel. everything else is in primer.

Re: 1985 chevy c10 swb
3 5/8 is the mounting depth. i used 3/4 inch mdf board.. i couldve used 1/2 and it wouldve been alot slimmer box. owell.. my seat is clicked 2x forward from furthest back. and im 6'0 and no problem at all

Re: 1985 chevy c10 swb
hi. been a while since ive posted anything. today we brought home another c10.. its a beater. but whats under the hood is what we want. look at this! we dont know any info about the truck itself. the truck was a tow in at a local bodyshop and was never claimed. the motor looks like someone spent a little money to dress it up with some chrome.. well here are some pictures.

Re: 1985 chevy c10 swb
the motor could be a 302 327 or 350 2 or 4 bolt mains
this is for the 3970010 block 3970010....302.....69....4...Z-28 Camaro 3970010....327.....69....2...Trucks and industrial 3970010....350...69-80...2 or 4 the only difference is the 327 3970010 block was a truck industrial motor as you can see. In 1968 they made 327's with this casting number but they were only 2 bolt main. Then from 1969 - 1979 they made 350's with this number and they were either 2 or 4 bolt main. If it's a 4 bolt main, then you know it's a 350. Hope this helps |
