Re: My 1952 truck.
Well recessing the hydroboost is not happening. The unit is too long to have under the dash to work with the pedal. Plus I don't like the idea of having power steering lines under the dash. Bummer.

Re: My 1952 truck.
Why not put it on a frame mount from below, hide it all down there?

Re: My 1952 truck.
I was going to recess it because it is pretty ugly. I can put it on the frame because I want a hanging pedal. Engine does not make enough vacuum for a normal booster.

Re: My 1952 truck.
Why were you considering recessing it? Asthetics or interference in engine compartment?

Managed to recess hydroboost a couple of inches. Excuse the crappy welding, I had a very sore back today.

Re: My 1952 truck.
Does look nice with that polished master.... did you make your own pedal assembly too for underdash? looks like a simple setup!!!
Ive got the same booster, but am going on the frame with it.

Re: My 1952 truck.
My back is still messed up but I got tired of limping around and went into the e shop today. Got a good start on boxing my frame until my grinder died. I bought a new one for tomorrow.

Re: My 1952 truck.
Napa has a steering box for an 85 Camaro for only $120. That is Canadian Pesos also. For you Americans , they would almost pay you to buy it. Haha. It is the 12:1 box so 2.5 turns lock to lock.
