Re: 4D'S "63" GMC Build

follow us down to the lake May 30th

on the wheel backspace, I believe the reason those are called reverse baby moons is the have less than half back space, negative offset and more of a deep dish look

so if the wheels are 8 wide the backspace will be less than 4"....

Ranch I haven't checked your thread in a while and man your truck is looking nice. The green was cool, but that black is working with your grill and dual head lights.

I really like it.

Re: 4D'S "63" GMC Build

Other than its cold as heck and I can't work on my truck I did have a grand son over Christmas.

Cut backs at work and thank god I'm not one of them, but other than that all is well.

I still can't believe how nice your truck is looking since you started it. I've never been a dual head light look kinda guy, but yours for some reason just does it for me.

Re: 4D'S "63" GMC Build

Hahah, I'm sure when your done you will think. Well its all done what now? I wonder if I should take a look at the frame like kizer did. Next thing you know parts are scattered all over the garage. Thats what I did. I "looked" under the hood and thought well it needs sprucing so does the body and then decided to take the wood bed out. Mistake -- > Saw the frame and thought man that needs to be first.

I'll probably take forever unlike AlanClassic because hes fast and effient, but I told the wife hey if I finish I'll need another project. My problem is I think I enjoy working on it more than I do or will driving it because its me time in the garage unlike the wife who reads. ACK.

Sorry for going sorta off topic, but hey you started it.

You going to change out the wiring or run factory? I thought about going sorta hybrid meaning using alot of the locations and cutting and extending so I could hide the wiring some for that really clean look.

Re: 4D'S "63" GMC Build

I hear you. I really enjoy working on this truck. and I've decided to drive it and work on it at the same time. I'll never have a show truck, but I'll be proud of it when the girls and I scoot around in it. Gonna work on the exhaust this weekend and if funds are still in the black, I will be talkng to Tony next week about some parts.

David, it's got to be alot more fun driving it than working on it and not being able to enjoy it. It takes alot of determination to stay focused on a big project. Are you replacing the complete exhaust?

Your rig is coming along great.
