The Olds can come my way if you are needing more room for your truck...

Wiring goes faster than it seems, focus on one area at a time. Truck is looking sweet

Re: New member with a 1960

I really like this ride height, the problem is that the torsion bars are all the way down right now, keep in mind that the glass, bumper, hood, and a few more items are not installed which might drop the truck a little more. Its my understanding that the ride quality is awful with the bars all the way down, does anyone have any creative ideas on how to keep the ride height very close to what is pictured without having a horrible ride quality?

Re: New member with a 1960

Well the only way to get low on a 60-62 truck and keep the handling would be to get drop spindals. But if you want to be cheap (I call it thrifty) and worry less about ride you could make or get someone to make torsion keys that lower the truck but don't hang down like the stock keys do

I am running drop spindles. In the picture that's with drop spindles and the torsion bars as low as they will go, the keys don't hang down very far on mine but they were modified.

Re: New member with a 1960

Thanks guys!
Now If I could find a nice set of Chrome turn signal bezels I would be happy, happy, happy!
Hopefully the bed will be finalized, the rear end will be back in, and the exhaust, wiring, final paint work under the hood can commence!
