Re: Ok Boys and Girls it's Storytime
Game change! Kenneth hasnt had time to get anything done and honestly I got wishy washy about the whole strut thing. The truck has move to an undisclosed location for a complete one off Chrome-moly a arm front suspension and maybe some more stuff.
http:// Think I wasnt nervous?

Re: Ok Boys and Girls it's Storytime
Heheh, I started reading this thread god knows how long ago when you first posted it up, and I think its great its still going.
I like that when you cant' make a decision, the answer is full custom! Gotta agree with you there. Its funny tho because in the second pic above, it looks like the towtruck is on a wheel dolly. (must be one heck of a dolly lol)

Glad to hear you are still working on it. When do you think the front will be finished?

Re: Ok Boys and Girls it's Storytime
"moved to an undisclosed location" Isn't it a sad state of affairs when you have to keep things like this 'non-public' in fear of some asswipe will see it and your truck becomes a stastic on a mild carton. More and more race cars ending up chopped to pieces and parts distributed all over the country. Gawd I hate thieves,,, Ought to hang car thieve without a trial like we did horse thieves!!!
Rant Off. Shame your not closer to the guy that did Shawns (super73) frame work. some of the nicest c.m. custom fab work I've seen in a while http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=479855&page=6 Good to see you drop by once in a while

Re: Ok Boys and Girls it's Storytime
I know Marv that its a shame I have to protect myself that way but it is what it is. I got a call last night from my fab guy trying to square away some details I have to say I am excited. I'm hoping to lose 175 pounds off the front with this and possibly some more weight in places like the trailing arm crossmember.
This is another reason to protect yourself. http://http://forums.dragcoverage.co...1&d=1394909201 David Tatums car after it was found in Georgia.

Hope you'll get back to racing soon.
Sounds like the diet to the truck should be a nice pay off.

Re: Ok Boys and Girls it's Storytime
Seems like alot of this type of thing going down in the Atlanta area. A good friend of mine from TN was coming back from a race in that area and they stole his truck, enclosed trailer and beautiful Dakota drag truck from right outside their hotel room... Sounds fishy huh... It was found parted out... They got alot of parts back but some stuff was never found.
http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/sh...=stolen+dakota Regan! Sorry the setup with Kenneth didnt work out like we were talking about. Maybe for the best at the end of the day. You actually get what you want and all that. As soon as I can get back into my garage I will be back at work on the truck again! You old frontend will rise again before long! lat CHRIS
