Re: Project Patina Burb

Just a little door handle issue and still have to cut out and find the tailgate lock.

Still going with the Patina, like what Rusbuilt did on his SWB.

It's a local guy over in Lebanon.

Re: Project Patina Burb

Well, apparently the ECU for my motor isn't the correct one. My 5.3 is a drive by cable throttle and the computer is for an electronic throttle. It's the computer that was given to me when I bought the motor so I'm confused. The guy wiring up the 5.3 and programming it said that the intake was changed and that's why it's a drive by cable throttle now. So I had to buy another computer off ebay and it will be here Monday. I hope there won't be anymore hiccups, but I have a bad feeling about it.

Re: Project Patina Burb

Got alot done this week. My LS wiring guy gave me a list of things that needed to be done before he could come over and finish his part. I've been buying several things for it and knocking things off the list.

Temp Sender for factory gauges
Oil Pressure line for factory gauges
Power Steering line(had to get adapter for back of 5.3 pump to put factory pressure line on)
Throttle cable and bracket(motor didn't come with one). Found both for $10 at a local yard.
Fixed gas tank leak
Oil Tube and Dipstick for the F-body pan.

That's just a few things I've bought and put on this week. Not all have been installed, though

Re: Project Patina Burb

Got alot done on the burb today. Trae (Inherited71) came over and helped with the interior wiring.

Got the temp sender installed and wired in for the factory gauge.
Got the backup lights wired up to the neutral safety switch.
Power Steering lines all hooked up.
Throttle linkage hooked up.
Installed the oil tube and dipstick, had to modify where it mounts to the exhaust manifolds a bit.

Didn't get the oil line installed. I didn't have the right fitting for the gauge and I don't have a tap kit to install it on the pan.

Also didn't get to setting the doors and the bodywork.

Here you go Jonathan:

Most of the stuff we did today is tough to notice, but I haven't taken a shot of it lately anyway.

Still a rat's nest, but making progress

I picked up some nice LED's this week. Doesn't exactly go with the patina theme, but I know I won't get rear ended with them (I hope).

Re: Project Patina Burb

Mandi picked up a rare Garton Jeep pedal car last week at a estate sale she was working.

Going to resale it to pay for a few things on the burb. It's pretty different.
