Re: Show Us Your Lits

Picked up a few more, the Dealer Parts Manager's Operating Manual is a neat piece. All about setting up your dealer for parts sales and how to arrange inventory/shelving.

This setting up your dealer for parts sales and how to arrange inventory/shelving book.

It reminds me of my local parts store (That has been there for Years)

The Guy that runs it gets around slow.
There is a other Employee's there.
He still runs the show.
Last time I was in there
He let me go look for the part in a Location.

That store has been there for Years and he Knows where Every Part is.

I remember when they Flipped thru Books on the countertop to look for parts.

The good ones still do...

We have a local parts house here that still has racks of books and catalogs, even though they have a computer system too. But, more times than not, you'll see 'em dig though some of the books depending on the part. They also sell a lot of tractor and small engine parts too.

Re: Show Us Your Lits

This one is kind of interesting. Lists all antenna, tape player, radio and speaker related service parts that were available. Stuff like knobs, resistors, capacitors, lenses, dials, potentiometers, etc etc

Re: Show Us Your Lits

Picked up another odd booklet, GMC Model Designation 2-sided booklet for 1971 and up. Guessing only the dealers were given these, little text on the bottom says Prod. Resch. 70-2M. Covers models 1500 through 9500 and Sprint too

Not sure how it doesn't make sense, it literally decodes the GMC model number and breaks down what each character(s) mean. I did not post both sides of it so maybe thats where your strange comment stems from. But, enjoy!

Re: Show Us Your Lits

Maybe back in the day, "Confidential" was something used by manufacturers. I've only ever seen it used with government info. When working in defense, info that wasn't classified by the gov in some way was designated as "Proprietary". Times change, I guess.
