Re: ls turbo build

Thanks.. both ac brackets came from lsbrackets.com . They don't make the bracket that I had anymore.. but you can call them to make sure..I sold mine. I'm not using the c6 manifolds or the truck manifolds.. so I will let them go..

Re: ls turbo build

Just a question, if you are fix mounting your turbo to the frame and have no flex joints in your hot side what are you going to do to stop the pipe from breaking due to engine movement?

The only time I have ever seen a turbo fix mounted to the chassis was on a car with engine plates.

Maybe I am missing something on your setup but if I am not you might want to consider this.

Re: ls turbo build

That's kind of what I was wondering also. Wasn't sure if solid mounts alone would be enough to keep from flexing

Re: ls turbo build

You may still want to get some braided pipe in there somewhere. You will still have movement without a motor plate and chasing hot pipe cracks later wont be fun.

Just want to see you enjoy it!

Like I said it's just my 2 cents. I have done a ton too and rarely see any fix mounted setups work well in a driver.

In the end it's your build and I'm not trying to take away from it. I'm sure you have a lot of time in it and look forward to see another boosted c10!

Not sure on price of dp....all my parts came from racepart solutions.... could of saved some money using columbia river, but the customer service sucked....lol

The whole hotside and cold side and downpipe and 2 jgs wastegates then paying a friend to custom build it all was right at $4500....ouch.....
