Re: Project "Poison Ivy" 54 GMC

Pics Pics Pics... Completely dynamatted, and the interior is almost finished... I have to install the other door panel and arm rest, shift boot and sheet metal piece I made for around the shifter and a few other trick sheet metal pieces I made.. I am not happy with the color match from the armrest to the door so I may fix the few rust spots on the inside of the door and paint them.. My Kicker PXI50.2 iPod /pad/ phone controller is coming today so I can install the audio system and button up the wiring... Getting close!!!

First show in two weeks at the Pittsburgh World of Wheels... Possibly Detroit auto rama and then a hand full of Goodguys shows depending on how much room is in the rig.. I wont be afraid to drive the truck anywhere but I also drive the rig so there for it will get a trailer ride to most shows..

Very stealth set up with the kicker controls.
I dig it..

I'm in the process of making custom kick panels but they still need some work.

Thanks.. It would just ruin the theme if it was mounted to the dash.. Im going to put 6.5s" and tweets in the kick panels.. Then another set of 6.5's and a sub for the rear...

The switch is for the air ride.. There is another one next to it..

I know they make green... I bought it from SMS Auto Fabrics... Be prepared when they give you a price though... its not cheap!

27 28 29... If you want to get your truck in let me know...they have a "traditional" section and your ride would fit right it!

Re: Project "Poison Ivy" 54 GMC

well, I'd love to get in it, but my truck is stored up north 2 hours away, so it really comes down to weather. I'm on dirt roads up there, so there is tons of mud when it is not snowing and I have to be careful not to get the truck out if it is going to snow because I know that thing won't handle in the snow. So that is why I'm not sure if I could bring the truck down or not. When is the deadline to get in and does it cost anything? I def wanna see your truck there.

Re: Project "Poison Ivy" 54 GMC

Made a set of kick panels to hold a 6.5" speaker and tweeter, sounds great! Now for the sub install next! .. Had it outside today so I figured I would take some more pics.. Working on another "detail" its the metal piece laying in the bed in the pics.. Any guesses on what it is I am doing now! The winner gets a free High Five if we ever meet!

Re: Project "Poison Ivy" 54 GMC

I like your kick panels. The mistake I made was that I made mine too long and had problems where the cab curves toward the floor. I need to remake the back side of them to contour the curve of the cab better.

It looks like that material wrapped pretty good.

Keep it up....dig the out door pics....It's cold here in MI.
