Hey Coulter, we need to get together one day, would love to see your truck in the flesh.......

you used 2.5 drop spindles, front air bags, then dropped the lower A arm, of course did a notch, rear air bags.....how low does your truck sit off the ground when it is down.......I am working on a 65 lwb (Corina Patina) and I was trying to lower her as much as possible without zzzing the frame or modifying the body mounts. Did you lower the cab and the front end or just do the spindles and a arms up front......Thanks in advance for the help. Kieth

I have not added the 2x2 tubing yet above the trailing arm but will soon. Getting ready to start on the front end next week, any advise would help....Kieth

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet

sorry kieth i been meaning to hit u up for a while.. just been super busy lately. i wanna come check out ur rides sometime too!! ill prolly be back at it next weekend.. got some go kart racing goin down this weekend.. lol

anyway i havent really measured mine but im pretty sure that in the front the frame is bout 2 or 2 1/2 inches with it laying on the a arms.. thats as low as you can get it without dropmember, pancake stock crossmember, or z the frame.. the rear on mine will get lower than that but im gonna set it up with some bump stops to keep the rear from goin lower than the front. my rear trailing arm crossmember has been flipped and i trimmed it to give some more ground clearance.. its bout an inch lower than the frame now

I'm tempted to do the same. to me laying frame is the supreme low... but there is a nice peace of mind knowing you can blow a bag on the road and not be laid out on the concrete.

awesome truck man.

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet

here is a lil update

i ended up finding another 454 that was pulled from a running truck a buddy of mine had.. so i cleaned it up. painted it and started bolting some goodies on it..

also got the tranny cleaned up and my shifter installed

gonna try to get the mated together tomorrow and hopefully drop it in the truck so stay tuned!!

got a start on the bad spots in the floor

got the rocker off this side.. gonna repair some bad spots and paint it up then install new rocker panels.

still a long way to go but its a start

also got a new steering wheel thanx to yelton57
gonna paint it white i think.. not sure yet.. interior will be all black
