Those look good Tim. Powder coat or Krylon?
That Jimmy looks like the 85 Blazer I had. Doeskin Tan all over, rubber floor mats, rally wheels. Yeah, I miss that one.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
These are powder coated.I'm really gathering a collection.Time to mount some tires! That's the Jimmy I was talking about buying before my computer went kaput! It's pretty basic, except I think the diesel package includes carpet/sound deadening package. It didn't even come with rallyes. It does have a/c,od,am/fm mono, and power windows/manual locks. Also automatic hubs I'll probably change when the bigger tires go on.I'm thinking 2" lift,12.50/33s,Auburn gear posi, and soft top in tan.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
Just put the rally's on today. I'm debating the centers and rings, at least until I get the bowties for the centers, but I kinda like the wheels plain jane too. Here's a pic with the caps as well.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
I'm looking for a change in wheel choice for my 70'.
I really like the looks of the steel rallies that came on my 77' Silverado, but want to stay with the 6-lug wheels on my 70'LWB. I've heard/read that I can use the rally wheels from a 3/4" 4x4 from that same era. Is this true and will I need some sort of spacers to keep the fronts from rubbing at full turn of the steering wheel? If I remember correctly, those rallies from that era were 8"x15". Any help would be appreciated. I'm sure enjoying this thread. I've seen some really great looking wheel choices. |

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
dkb1970--
if yours is a 1/2 ton 6 lug it'll be the same wheels in the post right before yours. i had a 70 LWB with 15 x 8 inch 6 lug rallies with 32x11.50's with no rubbing issues on stock suspension. if yours is a 3/4 ton 8 lug i'm not sure which ones you would use. |

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!
Thanks Cris. It's a 1/2 ton with 6 lugs. Sounds like I've got some wheel hunting to do.

you're welcome. i'd try craigslist.
you can find them on ebay too but the shipping is usually about $25 per wheel--ouch! |
