Re: Blackbird
i have a different idea in mind for caps that i'd like to use on my future chop top build, so please don't steal my plans ....and if i had the cash, i'd just go ahead & have you make them for me, even though they'd probably be years in advance, lol

Re: Blackbird
LOL, I was thinking it could be extremely spiritual! I was asking because I have a set of smoothies I got from a buddy, need to match the rears and wasn't sure if I had chrome or polished..... you do some great work, in a short amount of time!!!

Re: Blackbird
LOL I should do a video of this thing. Hmmmmm.
So a bit of progress, did the bed wood and started on the wheel tubs. I took a different approach this time because I wanted to use all the original wood. The last one I shortened the entire tub to keep as much of the original metal as possible seeing as the short side wood pieces were shot and needed replaced anyway. But this one I wanted to keep the same overall footprint so I left the bottom alone and took 2.5 out of the sides. This left an 8 inch gap at the top. I bent some sheet metal over my knee and stuck it in there. Don't look to close, it aint perfect. |

Re: Blackbird
This is freaking amazing! I love the stance and wheels. I really like what you do with the bed floor as well. I might have to reconsider my build.

Re: Blackbird
Kind of cool that the profile of your knee fits the contour of a 60-66 inner wheel tub so nicely!
