Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.

Last week was premiere for welding, have been practising on the floor now to make it more or less waterproof.

This is the result from trying to patch the kickpanel on passenger side.
Tell me what you think!

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.

Howdy, I pancaked my crossmember and started adding tube control arms. Too bad I didnt read enough first and pancaked it 2 inches instead of 1.5 inches, Now I get to notch the frame a few times in front and move my steering box up and put a U joint in my steering shaft,,.......

Im thinking of just cutting a couple flat plate shims and raising my CM the half so I can just bolt everything back up, still thinkin on it though,

Take care

Andy

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.

few moar, I was gonna paint it gold and call it the Goldmember,.... but I ran out of gold about half way through, so behold,,,,, the Greenmember,

Middle pic shows where I ran the exhaust outside the frame rails. They hang below the frame about a half inch still but I think I can still use it,

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.

seam sealer on the joints where the kick panel meets then floor pan makes it all complete and factory correct

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.

Bought a set of 6 lug rally wheels for our truck ($80). Going to get them sand blasted and then paint them same color as truck. Going to store the old wheels and hub caps.
