Re: Project Orange to Green

I drove over to Steven's place today and picked up the new rear tires I bought from Chris. We all went and grabbed some lunch, spent most of the day shooting the bull and putting Steven behind schedule on his build We had a great time, thanks guys! Looks like I'm going to need to take about 6" out of each side of the rear end

Re: Project Orange to Green

Thanks guys!
They are 29x15x20. Chris bumped up to the 30x16x20 so I picked these up from him. This was the tire I had in mind when I first started this truck and somehow as fate would have it they're back years later

Out with the old

In with the new!

There are still some things I want to change on the front suspesion but the Dropmember finished off my truck money for a while. I'll work on other things that I already have while I save some more.

Re: Project Orange to Green

Rack is mocked in. I had to trim quite a bit off of the bottom of the A/C comp. bracket. I also had to trim 1" off of the inner tie rods.

Re: Project Orange to Green

I decided to do a little work on the ol girl this weekend. I tried to do some plumbing and realized I STILL don't have all of the fittings I need so I moved on to some frame work. I bent and welded in some braces on the rear end and then started welding up some of the holes in the frame rails. there sure are a lot of them

Re: Project Orange to Green

I really like what you are doing on this project! The rear end setup is super cool. I guess you just came up with the setup on your own? Keep up the good work!

Yeah, I kind of design it as I go, that's why I end up cutting and rebuilding so much

Re: Project Orange to Green

I got rid of the square tube notch support, I really didn't care for it with all of the other round tube. Also, I stuck the new short intake on for a test fit.

Re: Project Orange to Green

If you weren't sure on the crossmember, I'll say it looks much better! Nice work with the truck and I'm not sure if it's gonna get enough air with the new intake...

Re: Project Orange to Green

Finally got the rear Coy's and mounted the tires. Now I can get started on narrowing the rear end. The tires fit exactly as I had hoped so I can get the look I'm after. I'm not real impressed with the finish on these polished Coy's. Hopefully I can get them polished out better.
