Re: Project: Mistress
Hey GC in your sig it says you are running a 2.5" front drop and a 4" rear drop. Wouldn't your nose be sticking up rather than the rake you have right now?

Geoff, I still can't believe how nice the Mistress turned out. That color is amazing in the sun.

Re: Project: Mistress
No, that's a "typical" drop. A 2.5/5 levels it out even more. these trucks are really butt high from the factory.

Re: Project: Mistress
Ok GC and Redneck, so if I dropped mine with 2.5" spindles AND 2" drop springs in the front with a 4" leaf spring drop in the back, would that create a monster rake or ??????

Here's a shot of the rake on my truck with a 4.5/6 (spring) drop, and to me another two inches in the rear would be too high. Also here's a shot of novajess' '72 with a 4.5/5 (spring) drop, so just add another 1" in the rear.... Sorry Geoff..... didn't mean to divert from your build thread.

Re: Project: Mistress
Tell her she took some great shots Geoff.
As her what the trick is to get the night "light's on" shots to come out. Maybe it's that I need a tripod, but I just can't get them to work.

Re: Project: Mistress
I like those shots as well...either have to have a tripod or an ultra steady hand...

Re: Project: Mistress
Went to a cruise inn the other night to. I took my 79 with a 502 in it. There is this local guy that thought i really did not have this truck, so i had to get her out and raise a little cane and show him. Geoffe just looked at your build thread. That color is bangin. Great job.

Re: Project: Mistress
I just noticed that the hump in your hood has a little more slope to it. Are the 67-68 hoods usually like that?

Re: Project: Mistress
I was referring to the cowl induction. I never noticed until now but I looked at the hoods from lmc and sure enough, the 67-68 hoods have slightly more slope. Makes sense though considering the shape of the hoods.
