Re: Caddy Light Install
Hold on a sec captinsavea@@@. I dont think anyone is dogging Smith on his willingness to tackle a project. I think we all aplaud him. Rather its the youthfull impatience. Look back at some of the advice, then to his latest work. None of the advise was heeded.......

Re: Caddy Light Install
Good to see you are going after some tough fab work. But you should really take a welding class. Do they offer any type of machine shop or tech classes at your school? If you still have the truck in 10 years you will look back and realize what you did. Otherwise the next owner might hunt you down.

Re: Caddy Light Install
Yeah, not to crack on you or anything, but you might want to work on that welding.
Tack Tack Tack = Crack Crack Crack I don't see that lasting very long. Practice on equal gauge steel in the garage and get the hang of it before boogerin up the truck. Also, follow the recommended settings for the welder. When I finally learned to do that, the rest came easy! LOL Great progress though. I admire your tenacity! |

Re: Caddy Light Install
well it depends on what u call filler. filler (as what i call it) is filling in holes, such as rust holes to find the easy way out. if thats your definiton to then there is none. now sanded bondo is a different story, yea theres quite a bit on it, but not more then half a little jug from wal mart. and plus the key word "sanded" is the key part of this term. so there isnt that much of any on any defition of "filler" u use.
