My buddy Jason's 1963...just got it back from the painter. All panels painted off chasis and reassembled. He has an amazing amount of work in the paint and body

I live out in Grays Creek, about 7-8 miles from Hope Mills. I told Jason when he bought it that if he wanted one to fix up and make into a nice truck that he would be much better off finding one with a nicer body, (the floors were trashed by a previous owner up in Virginia) but it looks like he didn't listen! The truck really looks good now.

How hard was it to locate a good prospect like VeronikA's truck..?
More pictures will be great.
I think if you just go to the '60 to '66 page and start a thread and call it your build thread....you will be up there with all of your work and comments....and then work on moving the thread.

# 114, if I'm not mistaken.

It's a 1963 GMC 1500 with a Powers Utility box. It has a 305 V6 (never rebuilt, but runnin' like a champ), 4-on-the-floor, original paint... Hell, it's 100% original still. This truck had one previous owner who died and left it to his granddaughter who happens to be my best friend, so, long story short, I'm restoring it in my spare time.
