Re: 69 long fleet- First build
The dust covered parts haven't moved ! Plus, I had shoulder surgery two weeks ago and will be a while before I can do much. I really hope to be back working on it when the weather cools some, tho.

Re: 69 long fleet- First build
Seems like forever since I have been on here.... nothing to report, tho. I have started my business- going slow! I am enrolled in a local vo-tech class on auto body. I get to take my panels and parts to work on them there. Hope I can get some accomplished!! Will post some pics when I get something done worth seeing

Re: 69 long fleet- First build
Thanks for the replies, guys. The class starts next week, so I will hopefully be able to post as I go. This cold weather is making hard to get motivated to do anything on my truck right now. I really need a garage that is heated during the winter!! But hey, Spring is coming soon enough!!

Re: 69 long fleet- First build
Craig, your acting like it's cold or something? lol. Yea, I build trucks but can't work on my own truck. It's been so cold and I have a shop but it's cold too! I've been getting the old rockcrawler out when I can, it has heat.
Good luck on your class! Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 69 long fleet- First build
Guess what?? Im still alive!! Guess what else?? I haven't done a single thing to the old girl I also have decided to go a different route as far as powertrain.. Im gonna install a 12valve Cummins. Still go with a stock look, but with a little different sound to it . If it works out that I ever get to work on this any more, I will post pics, because we all know...

Re: 69 long fleet- First build
I havent logged on in forever lol. I also havent so much as moved my truck in like a year other than do brass freeze plugs and turn it around and pull it into my garage. I have money in my pocket for a 5.3 4L60e but cant find them because everyones doing that swap. Its the mileage that caught my attention. I cant pass up 12mph vs. like 20mpg of a new school engine.

Re: 69 long fleet- First build
I'm curious as well. I may still have his number. I'm going to wait till later in the morning and see if everythings ok and how the trucks coming. I know he was in the same boat as me, no heated shop for winter modding months.
