Re: 3200 Napco 1/2 ton Conversion

I am back at it after a little break!!!

This went to the blaster/powder coater today!!! I am a little worried that there will not be anything left of it once she comes out of the blasting booth!!!

Looks pretty bad.
Hopefully you get something back that's usable.

Bob you might want to let this one go and grab one from a wrecking yard and make it how you want.

Re: 3200 Napco 1/2 ton Conversion

Not a very good shot but I have a little updating to do. Anacapa Soda Blasting in Oxnard (near the 101 fwy) did an awesome job of blasting and powder coating the seat. She looked brand new once they were done!!!!

Re: 3200 Napco 1/2 ton Conversion

Took the steering box to Express Parts Exchange in Oxnard (near the blasting shop!!) to have them redo this box and I am very pleased by their work. They did not hesitate to take this job. They knew exactly what I had and were very quick to get it done. I think they do a lot of work for all the local farms who are trying to keep older equipment running to save $$$

Re: 3200 Napco 1/2 ton Conversion

Ordered these the other day after going nuts trying to find a clean set and then promptly sanded all the casting slag off as I just did not like how crappy it looked.

Re: 3200 Napco 1/2 ton Conversion

Wow just read through your build and I like it a lot...I like all trucks but the 4x4's are way KOOLER... I really like the early 4x4's the Napco's of that era to me they look mean looking the front end reminds me of a bulldog, the front looks strong and muscular sitting up in the front and the rear sitting lower... Actually my truck is sitting on an early 70's 4x4 frame, it was already like that when I bought it...Maybe one of these years I can do a full resto on mine but right now I need it and use it as a truck...

Re: 3200 Napco 1/2 ton Conversion

Haven't posted much lately in part because I have been busy trying to get this done. I now have 36 days left to "get'er done". The back story is this, the truck belonged to my father who I lost in 2006 in a freak traffic collision. My little girl will marry her sweetheart in Aug. She asked if I could deliver her to the church in Grandpa's truck and then take it to the reception (to honor him bc he could not be there).

At this point, I'am optimistic I can pull this off.... stby for updates and further pics of where I am at..... light the lamps, I have some midnight oil to burn!!!!!
