Re: Tami's 51 build
Headliner……making my one piece abs headliner, wow! What a fight,,,,,ithoughit would bend easier, but no…..so putsome heat on the ends got it to curve enough to fit up in closer, got some screws in, and about to put a little heat in the corners to see if it will relax into shpe better, Couldnt order one, since roof was chopped and stretched…..

Re: Tami's 51 build
looks like you're getting a good start. i wonder if a U shaped metal channel along the edges would entice it to keep it's shape better along the edges. does heat work? bigger heat source needed to warm a larger area? would have to keep an eye out when doing that in case it sags.

Re: Tami's 51 build
Nice job on the custom headliner. I just did my firewall pad out of ABS and went through the same stuff you went through. I fought with mine because I used too small a heat gun (1300 watts). Your job was far trickier than mine as you were working overhead and you were forming compound curves.
Awesome work! |

Re: Tami's 51 build
Ha ha...On all of my builds I always leave that for dead last for a few reasons.
1 - Its big money (in most cases) 2 - It is really important to the look of the vehicle. Good luck Marc
