Re: Nacho Truck
Hey Del.... are those the modular CPP spindles?
"IS" there a difference between the modular/original drop spindle? I know they claim to suck in the wheels, but I don't believe I've ever heard someone verify they do. Truck is looking good! Welcome Mason!

Re: Nacho Truck
I think the modular spindle moves the wheel forward in the wheel well about an inch. Welcome Mason looks like your gonna have a fine looken ride to show off. Lucky dude

Re: Nacho Truck
Well I was told by CPP and it seems to be the case when bolting on other spindles that the Modulars suck the wheel in 3/4 a side. Where the 1 1/8 come from I have no idea unless they are sayin that you get 9/16 per side rather than 3/4. I'll have to confirm this of course. What do I know. LOL

Re: Nacho Truck
And what does this statement mean?
Note: Kits will fit 1967-70 trucks when modifying the firewall Ha. I think it's suppose to be 9/16" per side,... Delmo,... what backspace and width wheels are you using up front?

Re: Nacho Truck
Well the 22's are 9" with 5.5 BS and the 20's are 8.5 with 5.25 BS. This is the first I've heard of moving the wheels back or forward. Hmmmm.

Re: Nacho Truck
I bought the same spindle. All I can say is they were way rougher than I expected. I spent alot of time cleaning up and machining excess material off these spindles. The brake bolt holes were not tapped well enough to get bolts in either. Poor quality control is my honest opinion. I dont know where they locate the wheels , I have not got that far.

Re: Nacho Truck
Ya they are pretty rough to say the least. And almost impossible to get.
Tony, mostly doing brake lines, linkage etc. Nothing cool enough to post. LOL. If the brake lines turn out clean enough I'll snap a pic. Hahaha |

Re: Nacho Truck
Thanks man, you too. Love your new ride.
So as always I am kind of addicted to working and it's hard to get me out of the shop for any reason. Well then Mason the owner of Nacho invited me out to Glamis to do some Dune riding. I just couldn't resist, well actually I tried but he wouldn't let it go. So finally a day off and I had a blast blowin the dust off my 450. Thanks for draggin me out there man. So back to work today. Got a few things done so I figured I had better update y'all with some weekend artsy shots. Here ya go. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Not only a car builder, but a budding photographer. You think it's bad in VA compared to CA, try some true north my friends.
