Re: Our new 69C10 project
Well this weekend was very slow it seemed, but looking back we did get alot done, went through all the parts we have left over to go to the for sale area, lots! The boys did a great job helping install the new gauge cluster from Putters customs, finished almost all the cab wiring and started on the engine bay with the American auto wire kit, its really nice but does take a lot of time. Here is a few more pictures

Re: Our new 69C10 project
That cluster looks great. Sure looks like a bunch of green backs too. I hope I can fit a custom cluster in mine one of these days.

Re: Our new 69C10 project
Yes it was a bunch of green backs and now the temp gauge needs to be repaired or replaced the sending tube broke off, so the cluster is back out and I shippin goff the gauge unless I can find a replacement as Auto meter does not make that size temp anymore. I love the cluster, hope it all works out in the end. Thanks for the kind works all

Re: Our new 69C10 project
We have had some slow progress but seeing a light at the end of the wire harness. Finished the cab, cluster and engine wire harness install yesterday and started bleeding the brakes and finished the door panel installation. Now we are just waiting for some more wire covering to show up to make it all nice and tidy. Had to send out the temp guage for repairs and it should be back this week and then we are going to fire her up finally. Looks like the fenders, hood and cowl are almost complete as well. Best of all I have room in the shop thanks to this forum and everyone helping us get the extra parts out of here, almost all our extra parts are gone and I can move a bit now.

Re: Our new 69C10 project
thanks for the great comments, The boys wanted to try firing her up, so one held the core support and after a few turns off she went, nice to hear it run again after the last six months apart. Waiting for a pair of fenders to mount his weekend the we can pull it out for some fresh air, if the rain ever stops.

Re: Our new 69C10 project
That sounds great, We can hardly wait to get the chip togather, went to the Portland rodster show this weekend and saw a lot of nice trucks and cars of course too. I think it gave my boys some extra ideas though, like a lift in the new shop.
Bruce your really doing a beautiful job on the body and paint.

Re: Our new 69C10 project
Hi Scott, I finally made it over here on this side of the board to check out the all hands on Brawner build thread and it looks great , I read through all eight pages and the attention to detail and time spent shows well in your pictures. Like I told ya before in person while they were both swapping out some newly purchased parts out in front of my shop, it is great seeing the shown interest and although your sons may not realize it right now, these are some of those memories that you guys will always have to cherish and look back upon from time to time. My oldest boy has no interest whatsoever in getting a little CHEVY/GMC grease under his finger nails and currently thinks that honda's and subaru wrx's are the cool ticket, now my youngest boy however is the complete opposite and has enjoyed shop time with ol' dad since he was seven or so. As was already said by a couple others here in your thread, if you need a hand with anything no matter how minor, I am just a phone call away. Keep up the good work guys! Mel
