Hi all, I am Nick from Virginia. I have followed many of the great builds on here and figured I would figure I introduce myself. I am a hardworking low buck novice.

Re: The 1960 - 1966 Member Introductions
New here with a barn find 61 Chevy Apache 10. The truck may have seen service as a Culligan Water Truck. Speedo says 52,700. Could be right.
Fixed the driver side bedside and replaced the front fenders. I've used the forum to help with info that makes working on my truck a bit easier. Thanks. Last edited by xderelict; 06-25-2013 at 10:51 PM. |

I'm Tom, and my current project is a 66 chevy 1/2 ton with a shortbox stepside. Has 140,000 miles on the tricked out 292. I've spent many hours on this sight gathering info.

Re: The 1960 - 1966 Member Introductions
Hi. Ray here. Just bought a 62 longbed on Craigslist. A week ago I wasnt even looking to buy anything but I couldnt pass up this one. Pure chance meeting. Previous owner did all the work, and I'm a complete noob so I've got a lot to learn about these beautiful trucks. Glad this forum is available to help out!

Me Goofing off...
Me still Goofing off... My truck when purchased sans motor in April 2012... My name's Don and I color on people for my main hobby... hence the name Ta2Don... I retired from the USAF in 1995 and have run my Tattoo Studio since. I've loved cars and trucks for as long as I can remember and wish I still had some of the vehicles I've parted with over the years... This intro is long overdue, but here it is finally...

Re: The 1960 - 1966 Member Introductions
I guess I'll say HI.
I'm Reid and it looks like I'm back in the 60's Chev Trucks again.. Years ago when I rotated back from overseas I was stationed at Camp Pendelton.. At that time my Grandfather gave me his 64 1/2 ton step side.. I'll never forgot that truck.. It was all OEM and 100%. The eighth largest mistake in my life was selling it. Over the last year (or 2) I've searched each day to find another... at least one I could use as a daily driver,, and afford at the same time... Just a note folks.. There getting "Real" hard to find. What I have found were allot of "scrap" or ones that were so chopped up I couldn't use them. One day... POOF!,,, ya gotta love Graigslist. I found a 66 fleet (I'm really a step person). High Performance 350 Small block installed. Performance Cam Lifters and Roller Rocker Arms. Performance Headers. The transmission is Automatic 350T. ,,, Clean,, Arizona Truck, only a few rust spots and 2 bondo patches ,, all small.. so I again have my new ranch/farm truck while I continue to look for my 64 to 66 SWB Step. First on the list is shifter.. then disk brakes,, so I'll be on the forums being the pest with allot of "Where do I's". |
