Re: Found some more trucks this weekend...sharing the pics
Heres a few nice old classics I found while out on a trip with the family to get some hot wings last night. Looks like 4 projects that I could see behind a storage lot fence. I'd like to catch up with the owner some time and take a look at them.
Sorry about the bad pics, best I could do through a fence with a phone camera

Re: Found some more trucks this weekend...sharing the pics
Thanks for taking the time to capture and post these photos. The two oldies on the left look like the easiest to restore. Hope to think they'll come back to life instead of just sitting there.

Re: Found some more trucks this weekend...sharing the pics
No problem Mark. I like the 2nd from the left peronally...looks early 30's. Its only 10 min from the house. Im going to try and stop by this weekend and see if I can catch anyone out there. Id like to get a closer look than 50ft away.
Last one on the left looked to be an early 50's bel air maybe?

Re: Found some more trucks this weekend...sharing the pics
Ran into one of the local "Road Devils CC" guys today and this sweet 1957 210 wagon. Great looking car on the way to a transmission shop for a rebuild.

Re: Found some more trucks this weekend...sharing the pics
Just for clarification in the photos above taken through the fence, the 4 door on the far left appears to be a 1930 or 31 Model A Ford.
Second from the left is likely a 1935 or 36 Ford five window coupe. The spare tire on the back is factory stock. It has a rumble seat as indicated by the handle near the rear window, and the step above the right hand tail light. It also seems to have chrome plated headlight shells which would not have been stock, and a rear bumper from something else. The pan on the roof probably indicates the original fabric roof is either shot or gone. Most cars of this period did not have a full metal roof. The open area in the center was completed with wood, chicken wire, and a fabric surface on the outside – and they didn’t last all that long. Third from left is a 1946-48 Chrysler product. It could be a Chrysler, Dodge, or DeSoto. With 400% magnification the car on the far right seems to be a 1953 Chevy Bel Air 2 door sedan. It looks to have been plowed hard enough to stuff the rear up to the back window, rendering it useable only for parts. That 57 wagon is a beauty! I don’t remember ever seeing a 57 two door wagon before (except for a Nomad).

Re: Found some more trucks this weekend...sharing the pics
Thanks for the reply Mark. I have tried since posting to catch someone at the storage unit, if only to get a better look at them. No luck so far. Hopefully I'll catch someone there eventually and at least get some better pics.
As for the 57 wagon, I normally see the Nomads too. He says the b pillar was different on the Nomads and that he thought the 210 wagons were rarer in his opinion. Was a really cool wagon to look over.

Heres a good reference pic of a red 57 nomad compared to the 210 wagon

Here's an awesome GMC. Has a 351 e v6 I think. Not sure if it's a 305, or 351, or maybe even a 401!

Re: Found some more trucks this weekend...sharing the pics
I had a wagon like that. It had no rear seat provision. I think they referred to it as a Special Delivery. There was a stock welded in bracket behind the front seat to level off the floor. I tubed it, put in a rollbar, 396, Doug Nash 5 speed, narrowed 12 bolt. Never finished it though, fell in love with my 63 instead.

Re: Found some more trucks this weekend...sharing the pics
Went to the Tallywood show in Fayetteville this weekend. Were a few 67-72 trucks and one 51 rat rod truck with a chevy v6 4.3. Also saw these two in the parking lot.
The truck I believe is a 55 or 56 and the Dodge Businessman Coupe I believe is around a 35 (if someone knows please share). Both were really cool. The rest of the show was run of the mill early 50's - 70's cars.

Re: Found some more trucks this weekend...sharing the pics
The 3 window Dodge is a 46-48. They were pretty much identical all three years except for the year of registration. That's a very flattering photo. From most angles the trunk looks to be about 8 feet long! Chrysler made a 3 window as well, and the chassis was even longer:

Re: Found some more trucks this weekend...sharing the pics
Couple more I've seen around town in the last few days. Looks like a 55 Chevy and a Desoto (unknown year, but I'd guess 1952ish).

Re: Found some more trucks this weekend...sharing the pics
Last 2.
I'm heading up to look at his 63 grill, get a set of rear bumper brackets for the stepside trailer project and some rear bumper brackets, a bumper and maybe a nice big back window for the fleetside.....plus whatever goodies I can find. Will be looking at a hood for another member, so if your interested in parts, I can get better pics and prices Sunday or pass on contact info once I get it today. I know he will NOT ship parts, but if they can fit in the truck and I have enough $ on hand I don't mind pulling and shipping if it'll help anyone. Posted this in the NC regional thread also in case any other members wanted to meet up there or my place and ride up. I'm leaving Fayetteville Sunday morning and its about 1.5hrs north of me up 95.

It seems like a lot of people that are into 60-66 C10's also have a thing for Ford Falcons, including me.
