Re: My 66 C-10 LWB full PB "Blackout"
Ok, got the new ignition in and got the truck tuned! Truck put down 295 Trq. 293 RWHP on a DynoJET. First time uploading a video hope it works.
So the worst news is, after the tune the truck went in limp mode, so I haven't even got the experience the full potential yet, just cruising around stuck in 3rd gear, still fun after two years. I got all hands on deck tomorrow to see if we can't fix it. Then some much better videos. So far it is looking like we have a constant power to the ECU so it is never going to sleep. This is also resulting in a slow parasitic drain. Hopefully we can find the culprit and get on to the fun stuff. Still need the alignment and to work out all the little bugs, buts that's all part of HotRodding!! Very excited for the interior portion of this build. Don't mind the details (paint or headlight angles ect.) This thing is far from done. I just wanted to bolt the front clip on the get this thing on the road. |

very nice... Let me know if they can do some 35" Toyo MTs on the dyno... I'll need a tune if I ever get my Blazer back from rust repair jail.....

Re: My 66 C-10 LWB full PB "Blackout"
First off HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE Been working hard to show this thing off on Christmas. More importantly so i can cruise and enjoy. Again i am far from done. I will paint everything the right way and I still have the bed and Interior to finish. Posi unit to install Vintage air kit to install ... the list goes on. But after two years i wanted to be able to enjoy it at this point and not keep building it without being able to drive.
So since in not as badass as DINO and DELMO and all the other cool Kats on here i am building this completely out of order so that i can enjoy it along the way. Here some updated shots. |

Re: My 66 C-10 LWB full PB "Blackout"
Well Christmas was awesome!! and I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday and have a great NEW YEAR!!!
The Truck ran like a champ on Christmas and I even did a quick little burnout video in-between the 6 stops I made to see the whole family . I am super happy with the wheel choice, they don't show up well in photos but in person they really pop off the color of the truck and it looks killr. ENJOY! |

Thanks jake!! Currently it is just higher end spray paint. It will get blown apart for new paint. Still haven't made up my mind though. Gloss black or flat grey. |

Re: My 66 C-10 LWB full PB "Blackout"
I mounted the AccuAir control in the old Ac/Heater switch panel. I really like it here.
I have my interior guy coming over tomorrow to start looking through the samples and try and FINALLY pick my interior and exterior theme colors. I am stuck between several ideas. AS you can tell if you have followed the build. I change my mind frequently. Let me know your guys thoughts: 1) Gloss black with brushed wheels black themed interior. ?????? 2) similar to now flat gun metal grey exterior. With all bumpers, door handles ect powder coated black and wheels stay same????? Below a couple a shots.. |

Great build! Count me in on the Vegas meet if it happens. I'd love to see this thing. I'm going to need a while to get mine running but I've been making a little progress recently.

Re: My 66 C-10 LWB full PB "Blackout"
OK, Looking for opinions.. I love the idea of running a gloss black and polished rims look. I am also in love with my original concept, which is the bottom rendering. If i went with the top look. I would loose a lot of the chrome and black it out anyways I should have a new view coming that I will post.

Re: My 66 C-10 LWB full PB "Blackout"
I would go with semi-gloss grey for the body, gloss black where there was originally chrome. Black interior with grey suede inserts on the seats. Then add some red French stitching on the interior and some red pinstripe on the long body side moulding to tie it in... For the rims, black spokes with grey hoops...

Re: My 66 C-10 LWB full PB "Blackout"
There's nothing like a shiny, straight, black truck but I like your original look with the blacked out chrome. A more unique look if that's what you're going for. It's an awsome build whichever you choose.
