Re: The Old Duffer
My Boyds welding tank came in today. What a beautiful piece! Kind of a shame to hide it under the bed.

Re: The Old Duffer
Been trying out some ideas in photoshop. We're painting the truck one way the other so I thought I'd try a few ideas. It's a pro-touring build hence the splitter & air damn. What do y'all think?

Re: The Old Duffer
I decided to stick with a very similar color scheme. It will be a matte pearl white with same blue stripe. All trim & chrome will be powder coated the same color as the Forgeline RB3c wheels. I did a rendering of the final product in photoshop.

Re: The Old Duffer
The work that you are doing is top-notch!
Everything is looking awesome! I think that the pearl white/blue color-combo will look great. I originally was gonna do pearl white & red! The only thing is, I don't think that your truck will go as low as your renderings show, with only having only a c-notch in the rear....Just sayin. What size are the Forgeline wheels that you are going to run?

Re: The Old Duffer
Modges, your right on ride height, It's slightly exaggerated in the rendering but the Forgelines are only 18's & we may move to shockwaves before its all said & done.

Re: The Old Duffer
How come you didn't use the other short bed you picked up?

Re: The Old Duffer
Looks great, as always! Wish I had some bed shortening skills. I just ran across a 66 longbed that I would love to do this to.

Re: The Old Duffer
Cool I also shortened a long bed for my build however the way yours was done is probably a better way to do. Making cuts close to the edge is a smart way to day it as it will be easier to bodywork

Re: The Old Duffer
Got the new 9" Ford underneath it last night. Going with a Detroit locker and 3:89 gears. 335/35/18's in the rear & 295/35/18's up front. Thanks to Brian Finch for getting these axles ordered & adapting these Camaro Brembo binders. This things gonna stop on a dime.

Re: The Old Duffer
Getting the dash mocked up. I think I will end up taking the engine turn panels out and go with a brushed aluminum finish. all the outside trim will have a brushed aluminum look to tie in the brushed aluminum hoops of the Forgeline RB3C's. Going with the Alpine Double din apple car play head unit in the center.

Re: The Old Duffer
Looking very nice! Great work. Hey how has the 250 been running? Did the fuel injection work well?
