Re: 56 made2drag

loosely have steering column in place...it bolted right up to the rag joint. still have to put bed on and maybe move cab up an inch before bolting it up. will put the 76's wiring harness/fuse block and connector on steering column soon so i can actually use the key to start it....LOL

feel good about the 3 hours spent today

Re: 56 made2drag

Went just through your build.
I have great respect of what you've done so far to the truck!

I think, I had walked by with tears in my eyes
I certainly can learn from you!

Thanks! I've been learning as I go...still have alot to do and have limited time and money. I think once I get it driving I'll wrok on it more. Currently I'm working more on my 67 C10 and finally have it running right and I drove it recently. It gets alot more attention since its insured and able to drive down the road. I thought about making a build thread on it since it's come along way....i dragged it out of a junkyard too..

thanks! It seems to fit so far. The frame is now the length of a stock 76 short bed frame....give or take a 1/4 inch. I think once the front is lowered with stock squarebody rallies it will tuck in the front....im crossing my fingers...the rallies I'm getting are super narrow and are really sucked in on my friends 69 c10....he says he thinks they're for a van?

Re: 56 made2drag

drilled these nylon inserts out and tapped the shaft in 2 1/4 inches for the steering wheel to be closer to the dash.
