I changed the drivers side because this cab is 71 and had the foot e brake. You can see the hand brake installed in this pic.

That is correct,I had the machine shop machine the hole in the aluminum tube , then welded it to the plate I had made, then hammered a factory tube into it. Hope this makes sense?

Here is the mock up.....made the piece out of wood first,but I couldn't weld it
