I'm pretty much a newbie with these motors, but so far it seems fairly simplistic.

Haha thanks. Too scared to try them out though.

Thanks TJ... I go back and forth every day as to what I want to do haha. I still like the turbo 250 because I won't have to do any frame mods and I can keep it stealthy with the three speed OD

Re: The Egg Hauler.... not much of a build

4bt dream was short lived. Put the van on craigslist last week for silly money and got a deposit on it the next day. Couple of local guys build food trucks and this one is going to get done for a lady in Kentucky.

Took the 66 out the other day and I'm getting some steam coming out from the defrost vents on the dash. Leaky heater core? Looks like the radiator has developed a slight leak as well. Might have to put some of the 4bt money towards some new parts!

Congrats on the sell! That thing definitely looked worthy of becoming a food truck. Good luck on getting the '66 issues sorted out.

Thanks Phillip! You might have seen some of their trucks around town. They built the Coastal Craft and Crust truck...that is the one I've seen at a few shows and events.

Thanks TJ...the thought has crossed my mind . I think my dad said the guy he sold the original 250 to was going to give it back to him. I need to follow up with him on that. If so...maybe a little turbo fun before the original engine goes back in.

That's super cool! I don't recall seeing that one before, but I never made it to many events with food trucks. My wife may have seen it before though, so I'll have to ask her.

Re: The Egg Hauler.... not much of a build

Not much new to report. Just been driving the truck here and there and using it on my runs to Lowes or hauling stuff for friends.

I did pick up a stable mate this past weekend. 63 4 door Nova. Gotta have something to keep my hands busy.

How about a supercharged 194? I'll be happy just to get it running first though. I think it would make the ultimate granny sleeper though.

Re: The Egg Hauler.... not much of a build

Well...this past weekend was bittersweet. My family came down to visit for Memorial Day and my brother hauled the 66 back home for my dad who bought it back from me. I've enjoyed every minute of owning the truck, but I want to make the Nova a solid little beater/cruiser that I don't feel guilty about cutting up to do so. My dad is getting the original 6 back so I kept my 250 and will be putting it in the Nova.

Just so I don't get kicked off the board...I saw this K5 Jimmy posted on Craigslist about 7 am yesterday and had the title in my hand at 9:30 am.

Sad in one way but happy in another. Glad to see your dad got the truck. I'm also glad to see you working on the Nova. Will there be a build thread on the Nova? I'm hoping so. Nice looking Blazer too.

Sorry to see the Egg Hauler go but you have plenty of fun stuff to keep you busy. That T5 is gonna go WHERE?????

I keep stocking up on T5s and various parts. I'm planning to build a World Class V8 Camaro T5 with an S10 tail. I'll make a hybrid using a WC S10 main shaft with the VSS in the S10 location. That way the VSS will work and it will be perfect for someone with electric gauges (I think).

You know where to find me. Nice meeting you at the Charlotte Auto Fair.

Bummer seeing the truck go, but it's good to know it's still in the family. Hope your dad has much fun with it. Glad I had a chance to see it before we moved. Was that K-5 in Charleston? It looks familiar, but maybe I've seen another one similar somewhere. Hope you have fun with the Nova as well!

Hey Jay...the t5 is going into my brother's 36 low cab Chevy truck... after he finishes the complete remodel on the 1930's farm house he and his wife recently bought. His toy funds may be dried up for a little while though Yes, it was great to meet you at the AutoFair as well!

Yea it eases the pain to know that I can still drive the truck whenever I go home to visit. I think my dad is looking forward to taking it up the mountain to the show in Poplar, NC that he usually goes to. The K-5 was in West Ashley right off of Magnolia. I remember seeing it briefly on craigslist a few months back as well so you might have seen it then. The PO was co-owner at Affordabikes downtown and he said it was his daily driver until maybe September of last year. My wife is not a fan, but all my buddies want to buy it I want to use it as a beach wagon/cruiser for the summer, get it cleaned up and straightened out and then will probably sell it.
