Working on the bed now. I'll shoot a few pics of the modded factory tubs as soon as they're finished.

The 65 burb was our shop truck that we started and then we stopped on the build for a while. We have SOLD the burb to a great customer in Holland. This build is back on track and we are back on the build to complete for our customer this year.

Everyone of our guys has their own technique. Personally, I like to use my air nozzle a lot. Have the entire piece of work stitched, and only weld short runs at a time. Welder in one had, air nozzle in the other. After each weld, I cool it as fast as I can with air. Like I said though, everyone has their own method of doing things. Justin gave probably the best pointers on how to do it best.
Saw a setup once with a pneumatic button mounted by the pedal and 3/16 nylon line run through the sleeve and ziptied to the nozzle. Finish the weld and hit the air. Worked great!

Re: Goodguys 2015 Giveaway C10 by Scott's Hotrods

There was a lot of work in fitting and assembling the bed, so rather than bore you all with mundane pictures of that, I figured 'd wait until some cool work was done.

Here's a few shots of the wheel tubs that were widened and a few of how we raised the wheel opening on the bed. IMHO raising the lip makes the biggest difference when the trucks are this low. It really gives it the right proportions when contrasted with the rear wheels.

Anyhow, enjoy the pics.

The things you do with sheetmetal is amazing. The things most of us grit our teeth at when it comes to repair and here you guys are just cutting up perfectly good sheetmetal to make something even better. Keep up the good work, amazing.
