I'm pretty proud of the gaps and alignment we accomplished with the aftermarket metal. Can't wait to see it in paint.

That looks cool. What size tire did you decide on? ( I may have missed it...sorry)

its a little tough to read, but it looks like the sidewall says 295/35/20

Re: Project 'Kickin Wing' (No Limits/Hotchkis/PorterBuilt/LS Power)

I had a pair of 295/35/20 that I threw on one side to check for fitment before I ordered tires. The 295/35 up front cleared fine but I don't really like the slight bulge they have. The 295 out back fits with no issue, I don't see any reason a 305 wouldn't fit in the stock tubs.

I'm am either going to go 295 front/305 rear, or 285/295. I will probably play it safe on this first set and go with the 285/295.

Re: Project 'Kickin Wing' (No Limits/Hotchkis/PorterBuilt/LS Power)

Its finally on the ground! 20x10 all around 275f/295r for those that were interested. Wishing I would have went with 285 in the front but I got a good deal on the 275's and figured it would be good to play it safe on this first set of tires. Just a tip for anyone doing a long term build like this: get on ebay and look for used tires. They are cheap, and I didn't see any reason to buy brand new Pirelli/Michelin tires and let them sit for a long period of time and flatspot or dry out. Also, like in my case, if you are unsure of what size you would like to run you can try out different sizes without blowing money on new tires. I got this set of 70% Pirelli P zero for less than $500 with no patches/repairs. I can use them to get the truck on the road and the bugs worked out, then buy a new set.

Excuse the terrible pictures. I have got to invest in a decent camera at some point, the lighting was terrible and pics were taken with an iphone.

68 narrow rear end, wheels are 5.5 backspacing and running a 1 inch spacer to compensate. That is the minimum backspacing eagle would spec on this wheel. Kind of a bummer as a 4.5 inch backspacing would have looked killer and i'm not to fond of the spacers, but for the price I cant complain much. A true custom wheel just wasn't in the cards.

The front worked out pretty well, No rubbing lock to lock except for the tire barely touched on the swaybar just as the rack was hitting its stop. The swaybar needs to move back on the frame a bit anyways, I mounted it little too far forward on the frame and the endlinks are on a bad angle. So once i get it moved back it should solve the issue.

Re: Project 'Kickin Wing' (No Limits/Hotchkis/PorterBuilt/LS Power)

Been a while since I have posted an update. We have gotten a few things done in the past couple of months.

New cab floor

Lower door pillars and kick panels

Lower hinge brackets from Nsane Hot Rodz, mine were stripped out and rusty

Shaved firewall, at this point I was waiting on AC bulkhead so heater hole hadn't been filled

Started bodywork on some other parts

At this point updates will be slow as it will mainly just be bodywork for a while. I am strictly working on the cab to get it painted where I can get it back on the frame and start doing some wiring and things like that.

Nsane Hot Rodz, it fit really nice. I was worried we would run into issues on a job that big, but it turned out great.

The progress looks great. The floor replacement seems like a pretty big step.

Awesome work on the cab! I really like the full floor replacement. In hindsight, I think it's probably the best option for a really rusted floor.
