Re: Parting 1972 C20

How much for both the front and rear bumpers? Plus the heater controls?

Are you looking for a steel step bumper or a sport bumper for the rear? I do not have any nice front bumpers or rear sport bumpers at this time.

I have a decent heater control, tight rivets and good arms for $45.00 plus shipping.

Let me know if interested,
Thomas

Hi Lee,

I have done some research and learned a few things on the casting numbers. All the castings (5473) are the same from 1971 all the way to the 80's. The difference is where the bleeder hole and location of the hose are machined from left to right. Also the later versions will have metric bleeder screws.

I have some left castings in good condition to rebuild for $25.00 plus shipping to you at $13.00 so $38.00 total.

Let me know if you are interested. I have several and would get you the best driver side core I have.

Thank you,
Thomas

Re: Parting 1972 C20

Thomas,

Great, thanks for helping out. I will definitely take your best driver's side caliper. The picture below shows my damaged piece, note the egg-shaped bolt hole on the left.

Also, I am looking for some steel fuel/vent line clip bolts. A number of mine aren't salvageable. I believe they are 5/16" wide by 1-1/8" long, course thread(?) with a 1/2" wrench size. I will blast and re-phosphate them. I need around 10 or so.

Thanks again for your help.

Lee

Hi Lee,

Give me some time here and I will find you a caliper and the bolts you need for the frame clips. They will come with washers and nuts. How many are you thinking?

I will PM you soon.

Thank you,
Thomas

Hi Lee,

What I have for frame clip bolts are 1 inch total length and have several styles of head markings. Do you have a photo of a sample of what you need?

I checked all of my inventory but have nothing that is 1 1/8 long total length. I want t5o get you what you need.

Let me know,

Re: Parting 1972 C20

Thomas,

Here are the two styles that were on my truck, I'm pretty sure they are the original to the Blazer. I'm pretty much OK with anything as long as they are phosphate and not silver zinc coated and are approximately 1" to 1-1/8" long.

I looked and looked and cannot find new bolts this size plated in phosphate, not even from AMK.

Thanks,
Lee

It is your lucky day Lee,

I have exactly 10 of the ones with R-S-C on the heads. 5/16 course thread at 1 inch total length. I do have the ones with the "N" on them also. I have learned that there are about 6 different head styles on these bolts depending on the supplier at the time.

I will give you the lock washer and nuts as well.

I am going to send you a PM with payment details,

Thank you,
Thomas
