Re: Project U S Army Sargent Slam
Capped my front frame rails today. Had to cut them a little further back then I really wanted to. The previous owner didn't cut the frame rail very straight to begin with, but it won't hurt anything. First pic is before

Re: Project U S Army Sargent Slam
Welded and painted the brackets to the frame and bolted the upper bracket to the radiator support. The welds are solid I will clean them up when I strip the frame to powder coat it.To me it turns out a lot cleaner this way and you don't have any cross braces getting in you way. The brackets are also ovaled out so they have some adjustability.

Used the plasma to cut a 2 3/4 home for the filler grommet.

Re: Project U S Army Sargent Slam
Took about 5 hours to get all the belts and brackets to line up. I had to be the one to run power steering and a/c on a blown motor. Still don't like the angle of the power steering fill neck.so I need to get a shorter belt. Next is plumbing the radiator hoses, fuel pump and fuel line. Then I will fire it up again and set the timing.

Re: Project U S Army Sargent Slam
Mounted the upper radiator hose. The space was so limited near the water neck because of the blower I had to use a flexible stainless radiator hose.

Re: Project U S Army Sargent Slam
Couldn't use the billet radiator clamps on the Lower radiator hose because of the limited belt room. Hope they hold, I have never used radiator hoses like these before.

To the tank. Had to plug off 2 of the 4 lines going into the tank. Only needed the vent and the pick up tube.

Going to run the battery in the bed. Just need to install the battery shut off on the side of the bed. Need to pass tech because I am planning on doing a little racing at the local drag track
