Re: 67-72 Time Capsules

I think my 1972 super is a time capsule/survivor..
Original paint and drivetrain...the seat cover and dash pad has been
Replaced and the alternator is down so I'm going to have it restored
Otherwise we drive it everywhere

Very nice! Yep, first year 307 there, old style oil fill with PCV valve and all. Plus a 4spd! I would love to own that truck!

Color is hard to detect on this one. Interior shots appears to be Light Green. Exterior shot appears to be Terrace Blue or Light Blue. A SPID photo would be nice. A guess it was sold new without a mirror head.

Re: 67-72 Time Capsules

It's been a full year since the last addition. This low mileage base trim K 20 with a painted front bumper is definitely in the time capsule category. Tires seem a little oversize, but spare is the correct factory size 7.50-16, even has the original 2 piece 16" rims.https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...-k20-pickup-2/

That's an awesome truck, and I think it looks great with those bigger meats on there.

The poles on the front bumper were a clue but the SPID confirms - this truck was used to plow snow. Rare to find one that did plow duty that also didn't get rotted to heck from salt.

$40K - man, inflation is hitting everywhere LOL...

My experience with ex-snow plows is that the front ends are usually beat to death if they saw any regular service.

Re: 67-72 Time Capsules

My grandfather ordered almost an identical 1970 K20 as the one above with a couple of option differences:

His had the 350, lockout hubs, 10-16.5 wheel option, and tach cluster. It was still around until about 2015, then I lost track of it.

Unhappy Re: 67-72 Time Capsules

I still have the Protecto-plate and the Q-Jet from it. It was a Canadian built truck. Unfortunately, the last I saw of it, the frame had serious rot in the back, and all of the body was junk except for the hood and upper cowl piece, but it was still being driven! It would have needed everything metal.
