Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
I haven't tried to because the last email I received from Jegs (which is who I ordered my stuff from) saying a ship date of 6/27/16. I did receive my FCC. I did see your post about having problems with fuel going out the vent on he fcc. I put a fuel gauge on my discharge side of my mechanical fuel pump to see the fuel pressure. I think the FCC only like less than 9 psi. It is basically just a big float bowl like on a Holley carb. I am concerned about them not contacting you or anyone else. As before I ordered I never had a problem with someone answering the phone every time I call.

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
Ya I thought the same thing , press at there FCC is 7psi from my mechanical fuel pump. Man it is really frustrating not being able to get them to answer or return calls .They did reply to one email, all they said was vent has to be plumbed back to the tank. To me if that's the case I should just save the money and by a efi tank.

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
If fuel is coming out I bet you have something on/in the needle valve/seat. Did you check? It probably had debri in the tank from manufacturing. But I do get your frustration.

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
Ya me and my dad discusses that, but are scared to take it apart for warranty. Are you going to run your vent all the way to tank. By the way you have some awesome builds love the hulk with ls motor.

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
Yes I installed a 1/4" line for a vent at the sending unit mount. Then I ran the line on the driver side to the front inner fender at the head light

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
Thank you for checking out my builds I appreciate the comments. Having done a SBC and a LS. I will go the LS anytime. After I get Jr completed I will get back on the original hulk.
Also I understand stand about the warranty. But I am sure you will need to take the top off.

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
I think you probably will have to run the line. I just bought brake line from the local parts store and used it as a return line.....like 20 bucks

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
Well the saga continues. I had a little whine in the transmission when I put it in gear. I took it to the transmission guy and he said sounds like a bad torque converter. But since he rebuilt it and sold me the converter he would do The work for free. Makes me mad as it is all in and fits nice and it has to come out. So now the truck is down for another week.

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
That sucks. I have installed 4 transmissions in my Car in the last year the first 2 pumped oil out of the front seal just running the engine. The 3rd one slipped could hardly drive the car and all 3 came from TCI. The 4th one I bought from a local guy and it works great.

My car is a nightmare from hell. my plan is to restore it. every thing I touch is a battle. engine, transmission, rear end, I hope when I start the interior thing will smooth out. Good luck on your truck.

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
Wow, you've made a lot of progress this last month congratulations!
Suckie about the rocker arm I've never had a new one do that before. Do you think it was way out of adjustment? I can say we have had our fair share of old ones break over the years. Thinking the factory stamped steel probably gets fatigued after a bazillion cycles. Also double suckie on the trans good thing you have the crew eager to help fix this new issue. Keep up the fight it's going be a sweetheart in the end!

Re: Project "Hulk Jr"
Thanks Brett nice to see you are back.
I think the rockers were junk and that is why they discontinued them but a nice set of roller rockers was pretty go trade.... as for the trans I am just worried about how they will remove it and reinstall....I am torn between should I remove it or just let them. My son gets his license by July so would love to have it up and running. yesterday I drove it the farthest about 4 miles around town and it rode and felt great. Brake and steering were better than the C10 but don't tell my other son!!!

Can you not view the pictures of the truck assembled with tires and wheels on it? Only a couple but there are some. Just dark as it was night when we pulled it out of the shop. More to come.

Hey free is good, I like free! It's great your guy is standing behind his work and you trusted him to build it so I'm sure he'll do a great job on the R&R. The wheels and tires look sharp on JR.
