The Watercooler is now also installed, I screwed aluminum L-profiles to the radiator support and filled up all the liquids, now the truck drives under its own power, purrs like a cat, pictures outside.
I'm completely in love with the C10.

Now the Hood is being worked on, it has a few rust holes in the front and a lot of dents, so I started knocking them out, fortunately they are on the side and on the edge and not on the surface, the risk of working a frog in is significantly lower 😀

Be mindful keeping the heat down when welding patches. Stuff moves on you.

Thanks for the tip, I'll step-weld the patches point by point and cool them with compressed air and take my time, that's going to be the difficult part
That's right, the hood is a monster to put on the holder alone, oh man.

No progress on the hood and didn't get any further, the truck still wanted to have a few things done, the gearbox had a leak on the kickdown cable, resealed, the water temp always showed too hot, although the engine was only 84° /183° Fahrenheit had been checked with the infrared gun.
With a variable resistance fixed, the needle is now nicely in the middle, now the heating core has leaked, removed and taken to the cooler shop to be repaired, takes about 3 weeks, I'm glad I put the truck into operation early enough to fix the mistakes

Well, the Hood is a huge thing. But now after removing the dents and apply metal filler, sanding, 2K epoxy could be applied, sanding, then again apply filler, sanding, phew..... and now there was a thick coat of filler primer paint.

The Hood is painted with filler primer and now everything is sanded, my arms are falling off, what a huge part, what are the guys doing with the C10 panel? I'm satisfied everything is smooth and looks good, I'm excited to see how it will look after painting.

Today there was a change, we went to Hamburg and picked up the Model A, after 6 months it arrived in God Old Germany from New York State and is now in our hall, it looks a little tattered, is but absolutely solid and still with the first paint, hard to believe.

We're looking for a black coupe. Going to do a hot-rod though. The 4-banger stuff is cool but I'd rather have a little more HP/TQ than they deliver (w/o breaking the bank). An updated trans w/better gearing as well....

I'm seriously considering doing a T-Bucket or some sort of rat rot using all the drivetrain I took out of my '61.

That's right, building a 4Banger is very expensive, in the Netherlands there is a very experienced engine builder who builds many Model A engines, including the Burtz engines. Here in Germany there are strict approval regulations, it is now very difficult to approve hotrods with other drive trains, or chopped or slammed. You need a specialist who knows his stuff and does the approval so that the authorities don't shut down your car, hard times for Roder. And I'm fascinated by the 90-year-old technology.
