That was kind of my plan, except in almost 3 years of owning a TBI dually I figured out a 6.0 LSx swap is, dollar for dollar, a better idea.

If I could find a project truck that's already bagged and not too scarily engineered for the right money I might still be in the market.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

and I was going to ask about the other one, but I squinted and was able to make out that it says Camper Special. Mine has the 3+3 one, and I thought I had the teepee looking thing, but I just looked out the window and I was mistaken, I have a bowtie on a mustard colored background.

that old red and white crew is awesome. I don't exactly know why but I like it better than all the super fancy customized trucks on here. It just gives me the impression it's been faithfully working and taking care of it's family for a long long time. Not restored, just taken care of. I've always preferred draft horses to show horses anyway.

I was very interested in that truck for myself....but the rhino lining kills it for me. Looks great now- but not for the direction I'd take it. Been watching it for sale all over(mautified, ebay, etc..)

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

motornut, I'm sorry for your loss. Look on the bright side, all that stuff will unbolt and the parts are cheap. She'll live to fight another day. If the cowls pushed in, so what pull it back out, no one will see it under a new fender.

Ericjon, that is an awesome looking Suburban! Love the color combination, hardly ever see that.
Shame about the door. Might want to talk to motornut, he might have a suspect.

I've never seen another brown white brown two tone, I've seen tons of them with tan instead of white though. we know who's at fault, and there insurance provided us with a rental truck for the time being(dodge) but we really just want The Beast back.

Motornut, I'd be asking the cops if they'd turn around for a minute or two while I whoop some drunks ass.
