Actually these will now match the rear wheels. I’ve been running 15x5 front wheels and 15x7 rear wheels, and I just grew to despise the looks of the skinny wheels up front. I’ll be running the same front tires, so it will still have the same tire stagger, they’ll just be stretched out further and IMHO look better than they did on the 15x5’s.

Here’s a picture which dramatizes how straight the front spokes are compared to the rear wheels.

And here’s how they look after being painted black. The spindly look doesn’t show up so easily, but I still didn’t like them. I have a cool wife so the new wheels are my Christmas present.

Whats wrong with the headlights. If they don't work check the plug that is at the radiator support. If that is clean inside maybe you have a bad highbeam switch. Make a jumper wire to check that one out. Most of the problems with the headlights is the connector at the radiator support.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Installed my "CaptainFab Power Steering Adapter Plate" and moved the 64 and 66 outside for shop cleaning/organizing. The PO installed power steering, but the geometry was all wrong. Problem solved! The install was super easy, especially since the steering shaft was already cut down to the proper length and two holes were correct. Drilled two more holes in the correct position and mounted her up. Stitch welding will come when I tear the truck down for a frame off. Early 2011 I will start the process. I want to get the title work done before I do too much to her.

Turned out nice. There are times I wish I had kept mine and had it powder coated gloss black.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Spray bombed the interior (<$10). Much better than the flat black the PO shot on it, it is close to original and good enough for my beater shop truck.
Didn't do the doors yet since they need fuzzies and glass channel weatherstripping.

So tell me gang, where is the OEM paint cut line at on the doors where it transitions from fawn to the cab color(s)?

Thanks for the info.

Camaro dash will be the same color shown in above photo. Gauge panels will be black, as well as the steering column, seats and console.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Wound up with a little free time and sunny weather over the weekend, so I got a little work done on the parts truck. Got the front crossmember ready to pull (only 4 bolts left holding it in place). Also got the cab ready to pull, bolts are out and everything keeping it attached to the frame is now gone. Not too much, but a little progress for a couple hours of free time.

BTW: post #600....if anyone keeps tack of things like that.

I thought it was quite easy. I used a CPP mounting kit, which has the mounting plates, and steering column attachment. The power steering box was from a 81 chevy 3/4 ton. I haven't installed the pump yet. I just can't decide on a bracket set up for the pump and alternator.Name: power steering.jpg
