Re: My 52 GMC Build
The weather has been up and down like a yo-yo here from 9*F to 75* and everything in between. At least the humidity has held off so far. This week looks good.

The weather way down here in Cambridge has been very similar to the weather up north in KW

Re: My 52 GMC Build
Sunday we went to Unfinished Nationals car show, first show of the year. My 14 year old son has been working since beginning of January (with some of my help) on a frame off restoration on his 1975 CJ6. He got the body back on Monday and the motor running again Thursday. I towed it there with my truck, you hardly knew 5000lb was behind us We all had a great day hanging with friends and family. There was about 450 vehicles there. I won "Weekend Warrior"

Re: My 52 GMC Build
Thankyou
It was a lot of fun, my son fell asleep on the way home Ya he met us and went for the drive there, then he had to take off. I would if I wasn't bringing my camper.

Re: My 52 GMC Build
Last night I finally installed my power steering cooler. I put it in the front of the drivers fender, it's the only spot left that would get cool air. I made a plastic air scoop splash protector. It will definitely do way more than not having one.

Re: My 52 GMC Build
I kinda surprised you had a place in the front for the cooler. Especially after seeing how tight everything seemed under the hood and up front. Lol

Re: My 52 GMC Build
So I went and got my new bigger tires for the rear. Went from 205/55/16 to 205/60/16 they are 1" taller. Mainly for a better highway gear.
This is how you have to change tires on a '50's slammed dually. I still JUST got them on.

Re: My 52 GMC Build
So results with the bigger rear tires. Once I got the speedo corrected it drops about 100rpm or I can go 2-3mph faster. I calibrated it with my GPS. It only lifts the axle 1/2" but I also noticed it rides smoother due to a bigger side wall, so it was a nice upgrade.
A picture my son took this past weekend at 65mph. Also the new wheel stuff.

Thankyou
That trailer has some miles on it now. 8 years old, and is getting a face lift starting in a few weeks.
