Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

Here are a few pictures of my 72 that I have owned for over twenty years and still have not finished it. I like riding it too much to take it apart.

Maybe one day I will get to it. Too many projects right now though! 69 nova, 72 stepside, 72 suburban and a 67 fleetside.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

I usually don't like stepsides without exception but for some reason this one sticks out as cool to me. Hmmm, I guess you're not the only human that this truck has a spell on. I really can't put my finger on it. It has to be doing the right things right to stick around for over 20 years. Cool stuff.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

Thanks for the compliments. The ole girl has a 4" rear spring drop and removed one full ring on the front springs (remember that this was done years before drop spindles were popular). As for wheels and tires, 15x10 rally wheels with 255/70/15 tires on all corners. No rubbing at all. Added sway bars (front and rear) couple of years back and it handles incredible (to be a truck).

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

This is my first post on the board. 1968 I bought the truck a few months ago. It has the original 307 2V (although previous owner added a late model manifold and a Q-jet) and the original T350 trans. It looks like it inherited a 1967 bed at some point in its life.

What's the difference between '67 and '68 beds? I thought they were the same.....Oh Yeah, the marker light is deleted. I realized it as I was typing. Cool Truck and to the board.

Nice looking truck Bert. Which section of Jackson are you in? There is a few of us from the Gulf Coast and up into Jackson on the board.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

The white thing belonged to my landlord. I've moved since these pics were taken. He bought that truck new in 1972. He quit driving it because it was rusting from the inside out (his words). The only nice quality about the truck is that it has a low mileage 390 and would be great in an old Fairlane or Galaxie. I actually live in Pearl, MS which is close to Jackson. I work for the state and travel in state quite a bit.
