Keith, agreed wholeheartedly. I hate to see an otherwise good-looking truck that appears to be folded in the middle like a worn-out mule. Another pet-peeve, and Steven can attest to this having walked around shows with me: hood to cowl alignment

...$20k paint job and $10k wheels and your hood is sticking up 3/8” above the cowl. C’mon! All that said, my gaps aren’t perfect, but she’s got character

After hanging the passenger bedside, final trim and shim of the bed mounts, and mounting the tailgate and bumper, she’s a (mostly) complete truck again

The new seat cover has settled in nicely after sitting in the sun for a bit today. Little bit of that old upholstery pattern, modern foam shaping look to tie the theme together

The cover has some light foam attached. Otherwise, it’s an 88-98 (97 crew cab rear, specifically) bench with the foam slightly reshaped

Seat looks great . I was reading back thru a few pages ( a bunch) trying to see if you said already what the seat was out of. I can't wait to see those door panels installed.

Door panels are on hold, we couldn’t get the material to lay the way we wanted. More to come on that in the future. Appreciate the compliments

Thanks a lot. I went back and forth a bunch but decided to stay with a more subtle palette, well I guess if you can call bright metallic blue subtle. Definitely less in your face compared to the Highlander I was thinking about...

Simply awesome! How does it drive? It must feel very satisfying looking back at all you have done to this truck and then take it for a drive and be rewarded with every sensory feedback available to human kind and know you did this! I know you aren’t done, but Congratulations Chris!

Thanks dudes! Yes, it was good to “drive” it, though a short trip to the corner to snap a couple of pics was all I managed. It was less than spectacular, as I have no brake lights (or anything else besides what’s required for the engine), no cooling fan, no alignment, the ECM hasn’t had much time to learn, I have a little bit of an oil leak from I don’t know where, and one of the rear calipers blew a seal, so brakes were super mushy. Combine all that with first-time jitters while watching oil pressure and coolant temp and it was more stressful than pleasurable, but still feels good to have it moving under its own power, at least well enough to drive on a trailer. I will say the cam sounds BA at idle, though
