That was the first Phantom grill for a 88-91 burb frontend that California Trucks (Doug DeBerti the guy who started Trenz) built.
My truck was the prototype for that grill.

I would bet you could sell that bed quick, if it is good shape, and get the correct one for the truck. those beds are usually in fairly high demand

Cool, that bed was the same from mid-late 50's up until '66, there is a guy on the 60-66 side(strodder) who has a '73 step bed on his '65, you guys are like opposite twins

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

yeah I'm good like that... posted the wrong pics.

This is a 1981 my stepdad and I built, which is now owned by my friend... it had a TBI 327 in it with a TH350 and 10 bolt 23:73's, now has a sbc 400, 14 bolt rear and Dana 60 or 44 front I forget, SM465 and NP205.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

Found this one not far from me. It was up on ramps, filthy and would not drive. Got it, had the transmission rebuilt and it drives like a champ. I got a call from the previous owner and he handed over a bunch of paperwork. Turns out the engine is a jasper reman and it only has 40k on it. So it has a newer engine(350 FI) and new transmission (700r4). The only downside to this truck is the sunroof. At least it does not leak but other than needing paint (two small dings and a small wrinkle on the upper bedside) a new seat cover and a few odds and ends this will make someone a great truck.

My little brother passed away around 95. He was a big Ford guy. I've always wanted to build one like his. Cant wait to see it.
